Looks cool…literally!
There are few more stunning sights in the world than ‘winterscapes’. Indeed, such scenes make remarkably striking wall murals and they can suit a well decorated room all year round – not just for Christmas!
Avoiding any obvious Christmas references when choosing a winter wall mural is a must, but from there the options are endless. A little bit of out of the box thinking can get you a genuinely unique look and feel, as we hope to demonstrate here with these ideas. Let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
- Careful choice of mural composition positions the bath at the end of a path through the winter woods – a nice place to be relaxing, all warm and cosy, while the weather batters away outside.
- The combination of wintry mountains and blanket of clouds is ideal for a bedroom wall mural – the mountains frame the bed, while the clouds provide a soft and inviting surround. Cosy.
- The choice of super stunning imagery like the Aurora Borealis as viewed from a frozen Iceland can act as a real counterpoint to the rest of your décor.
- There are plenty of ways to introduce a winter theme to your children’s bedroom too – instead of a photograph, a cartoon style winter scene looks amazing when positioned correctly.
- For the kitchen we’ve opted for a stark image in terms of colour, but beautiful in its composition.
- Alternatively, a bit of that out of the box thinking gave us the idea of using winter vegetables for the kitchen wall mural. And you don’t HAVE to paper all the way to the floor. Here we have stopped at the same level as the worktops, with plain white below. Works quite well, don’t you think?
- Got a passion for winter sports? This example shows what can be done with a well shot photo – and with Wallbeard’s Wallbuilder technology you can use your OWN photos, so if you’ve got a great shot of yourself or someone else skiing, snowboarding or whatever, you can use that!
- The natural winter world teems with wildlife – this arctic wolf image works fantastically well in the living room, and would make a great counterpoint to a roaring log fire.
- Winter also lends itself well to office wall murals – here we’ve used the image of a train, but it could be a winter/cityscape combination, perhaps where the business is based, or something more appropriate to the nature of the specific industry.
